As his career was winding down, Nolan Ryan returned to his roots as the flamethrower from Alvin, Texas latched on with the Rangers. This size "44" Goodman & Sons road jersey derives from the personal collection of star reliever Duane Ward. The simple road grey style without sleeve patches allows us to pinpoint the jersey to the 1989-92 era, among the last of Ryan's storied career. "Texas" arches gently across the chest in blue and white tackle twill, with "Ryan 34" applied to verso. The proper "W.A. Goodman & Sons size 44" label inside the collar differentiates this jersey from the "Rawlings" contemporary jerseys that Ryan often signed and gave away but never wore. Wear is light, but appropriate for an aging superstar with some reddish staining resembling blood apparent on the right underarm and side seam. With Major League provenance, this is a highly desirable gamer from one baseball’s most feared and revered moundsmen.

An original LOA that once accompanied this jersey from major leaguer Duane Ward has been misplaced. Two separate LOAs from Heritage Auctions accompany the jersey, both referencing it being sourced from Duane Ward and referencing his LOA which is now absent.
