Beautiful 34" by 11" by 9" Hillerich & Bradsby Co. Silver Slugger Award trophy given to San Diego Padre catcher Benito Santiago as a member of the 1991 Sporting News National League Offensive Team. Plaque honors Santiago as well as the other 8 position players selected. The National League Rookie of the Year for 1987, Santiago, playing in 152 games, hit .267 with his 17 HRs and 87 RBIs for 1991. Santiago has signed the trophy in 9/10 black felt tip pen on the back "Benito Santiago". Trophy in very nice condition.
