Benito Santiago created a wonderful commemorative piece from his history-making 34-game hitting streak in 1987: with game-used balls from each of nine games toward the end of the streak, he added a handsome autograph to the sweet spot, each complemented by a detailed, seemingly professionally scripted details for each that include the date, game number and records passed for each, opposing pitcher and team. The balls - each black ink Official National League Giamatti balls - are remarkably consistent and uniform in appearance, with minimal staining or discoloration. Running from Game No. 24 to No. 33, with Game No. 28 missing, the balls offer a wonderful, elegant presentation that gives every appearance of cailigraphy. Comes with an LOA from Benito Santiago.
