This is a cool item: a 33-inch Sisler-Hummel corkball bat that belonged to the Hall of Famer himself and came from his personal collection. The burnt sienna bat is in excellent condition, with about 10 inches of adhesive tape on the handle and "SislerHummel, St. Louis, MO., 60SH" center-brand labeling in gold. The bat shows considerable usage from the unique game that involves a pitcher, a batter, and a catcher. There are no bases and, therefore, no base runners. There are three outs, and every swinging strike is an out, provided the catcher hangs on to the corkball, which looks like a baseball shrunk to the size of a Titleist golf ball. The bat was produced by Sisler-Hummel Sporting Goods in St. Louis, and comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Sisler family.
