This 15-by-8-inch "award" was presumably a tongue-in-cheek affair presented to the legendary John Havlicek by his fellow Hall of Famer, longtime NBA coach and later television commentator Jack Ramsay. The brand-new 13-inch Vaughan Hickory hatchet seems imposing enough that you wouldn't want to try to smuggle it onto an airplane; a 6-by-3-inch silver nameplate glibly notes: "John Havlicek, "Hatchetman Award From Jack Ramsay." Always the good sport, Havlicek provided his attractive black Sharpie autograph directly below the hatchet. The piece appears to be in largely as-issued and problem-free condition, with the exception of a loosened clamp at the top of the hatchet, which could be fairly easily repaired. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from John Havlicek.
