As one could have anticipated, John Havlicek's final swing through the NBA circuit in the spring of 1978 was filled with outpourings of the affection that fans had for the great star as he prepared to head into retirement after 17 Hall of Fame season with the Celtics. This brass belt buckle was presented to Havlicek on April 9, 1978, a date that is engraved on the back of the buckle along with "With Appreciation, John Havlicek." Also engraved on the back is the manufacturer of the belt buckle, "Indiana Metalcraft." the front of the belt buckle features a basketball with raised elements of a shamrock and Havlicek's No. 17. All aspects of the buckle appear to be in Near-Mint condition, largely as-issued and problem-free. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from John Havlicek.
