Hondo earned this plaque as the prestigious Hickock Professional Athlete of the Month for May of 1974 on the basis of his NBA Finals MVP performance in propelling the Celtics to the seventh of the eight league titles he earned in his 16 years in Boston. Havlicek averaged 26.4 points per game in the Finals as the Celtics narrowly edged the powerful Milwaukee Bucks and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in seven games. The 6-by-4-inch gold plaque section features the Hickock logo sculpted at the top and the words Hickock Professional Athlete of the Month in script, along with Havlicek's name and the date of May 1974. Havlicek has signed in blue Sharpie at the bottom of the plaque, which in turn is mounted to a wood base that bring the overall dimensions to 8-by-6 inches. All elements appear to be in as-issued and problem-free condition. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from John Havlicek.
