This was the ball used by John Havlicek on March 12, 1972 as he became the Celtics’ all-time leading scorer with 16,956 points. The official Wilson NBA ball shows good use, along with distinctive light-green and yellow block lettering added to provide the details of the historic moment. One panel has “Boston Celtics All-Time Leading Scoring Leader John Havlicek,” and a second has the location (Boston Garden), date and “vs. New York Knicks.” On that same panel Havlicek has added a standout black Sharpie autograph. Perhaps no other player in professional sports ever took such impeccable care of equipment and artifacts relating to historic events in his career than John Havlicek. His veneration for these objects has translated into unprecedented opportunities for collectors to own museum caliber basketball artifacts such as that we present here.

Includes a LOA from John Havlicek.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
