The NBA sent All-Star squads to tour Japan in both 1975 and 1976. This uniform was worn by John Havlicek on the 1976 Tour that likely included a half-dozen or so contests between East and West squads of touring American professionals at venues that included Tokyo and Osaka. Red Auerbach coached the East squads for both of these tours and certainly must have been pleased to have one of his favorite sons in John Havlicek as his team’s centerpiece. Havlicek’s Los Angeles Lakers inspired purple and gold East jersey features Onitsuka tagging and his number 17 on both sides. The same Onitsuka tagging appears on the shorts. Both pieces are in standout condition with light to moderate usage wear evident. Havlicek’s distinctive bold Sharpie autograph appears on the “7” on back of the jersey. Comes with an LOA from John Havlicek.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (auto.).
