As a graduate of North Carolina Central in the mid-1950's and star guard with the great Boston Celtics dynasty in the 1960's, NBA Hall of Famer Sam Jones found himself in the spotlight as a pioneering black player in a Northeastern metropolis often known as a difficult venue for African-Americans. The Black Athletes Hall of Fame honored Jones with his 1976 induction, presenting him with this attractive blue stone ring. The Size 10 ring features the words "Black Athletes Hall of Fame encircling the blue stone, with one side having his name "Sam Jones" engraved atop a clasping hands logo and the words "Strength, Patience, Desire, Love"; the other side has "1976," another figural logo and the words "Excellence, Integrity, Ability, Pride." The inside of the band has a 10K engraving. Included is a black-felt presentation box; ring and box appear to be in as-issued and problem-free condition.

Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Sam Jones.
