Cut signature from a 1948 postmarked government postcard of the legendary deaf and dumb outfielder from the 1800's, William "Dummy" Hoy. Despite his limitations Hoy was a solid major league player for 14 seasons compiling a .288 lifetime batting average and averaging over 40 stolen bases a year. Dark, 9/10 black steel tip pen "William Hoy 1888-1902" perfectly placed at the center of the card. Postcard has been cut to a size of 2 1/8" by 4 3/16".
