The great Hall of Fame third baseman Pie Traynor here rightly deserves to be in the autographing hall of fame if there were such a place by virtue of this incredible 10/10 black ink signature that graces this 8-by-10-inch black-and-white photograph from his playing days. The "Harold 'Pie' Traynor" seems stunningly perfect along the bottom third of the photograph; image is then nicely matted in a burnt umber and cream-color, with the former color precisely matching the color of the antique-looking 2-inch wide wood frame. The whole piece ends up at overall dimensions of 14-by-17 inches; photo and matting appear to be essentially as-issued and problem free, while the frame reveals a handful of noticeable scratches that hint more of the kind of accidents that come with age rather than an callous disregard.
