Few players in the history of baseball have matched the accomplishments and consistency of Stan "The Man" Musial. In 22 seasons, Musial knocked in 1,951 runs, good for fourth on the All-time list behind Aaron, Ruth and Gehrig. Even fewer so engendered the admiration and affection of fans, not only at home but in every ballpark on the circuit. For his very nickname, "Stan the Man" was bestowed by Brooklyn fans who feared "that man" upon his arrival to Ebbets Field. As for his 22-year tenure with the Redbirds, there's no specific era during which he peaked. Rather, he was spectacular throughout his Hall of Fame career. This is an autographed Hillerich & Bradsby "M159" block-letter ("MUSIAL MODEL") weapon brandished by the seven-time batting champion during the 1958-60 period. The 34.5 inch, 32.8 ounce bat shows evidence of outstanding use with a slight handle crack that is secured with a small nail. Many ball marks and ball stitch marks are visible on the right, left, and back barrel. There are also red and green bat rack streaks visible on the bat. The model number (M159) is stamped into the knob. Musial's number (6) is on the knob in vintage black marker and he has added is signature to the right barrel in dark blue marker. The bat exceptional player use characteristics and overall quality have warranted a grade of GU 9 from John Taube of PSA/DNA.

LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (Greded GU9).
