Alex Rodriguez put up gaudy numbers for the 2000 Seattle Mariners, his 41 homers, 132 RBI and .316 average prompting talk of a Triple Crown. Offered here is a Louisville Slugger "C271" signature model bat signed and employed by the high-priced superstar during that 2000 campaign. Specifically, this 34 inch, 30.9 oz. weapon was used to launch a two-run shot in the 9th inning off of Kansas City Royals reliever Jason Rakers on April 28, 2000 at Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City. Although not enough to win the game for the M’s, the blast was A-Rod's seventh of the young season—and the 155th of his career. Sporting a cupped end, the uncracked lumber features a glossy black finish and a vibrant, silver-hued centerbrand and barrel stampings. Between the latter two details, Rodriguez' silver Sharpie signature and inscription of "2000 Game used- HR #7 " projects "10" strength. Heavy use is evident, with ball and deeply embedded stitch marks throughout, as well as transposed ball stampings. A heavy application of pine-tar remains on the handle. All in all, a simply perfect specimen of a self documented early career Arod home run bat. Includes a LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (Graded GU10). An additional COA from Mill Creek Sports Cards is signed by Rodriguez himself.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (auto.)
