This 7-by-10-inch hardbound edition of the important early "The New Encyclopedia of Sports" has a lot going for it, most notably and impressive 8/10 Ty Cobb signature on the inside cover page, with inscription, "To Ralph, from Ty Cobb and dated 10/29/49. The book itself presents in Very Good condition, with only the expected wear and fraying at the spine and front and back cover corners; the 1,000-plus inside pages are essentially Ex-Mt and problem free. Simply a great example of an important early reference work, with a sterling signature from one of baseball's giants.
