June 12, 1939 was a momentous day for baseball. The Baseball Hall of Fame would open for the first time amid all the pomp and pageantry you would expect on such a highly anticipated occasion. As of that date, including the 1939 class, only 26 men in the 100-year history of the game had been elected for enshrinement. In 1939, 11 of those so honored attended the inaugural induction ceremony. Likely originating at that historic event, this remarkable official AL (Harridge) baseball has been signed by seven of those eleven inaugural inductees; Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Walter Johnson, Connie Mack, Tris Speaker, George Sisler and Eddie Collins. Additional prominent signatures from later HOF inductees include Lefty Grove, Frank Baker, Bill Dickey and Al Simmons. Consistently bold signatures average about 8 out of 10 on the ball’s medium toned, blemish-free surface. Very few balls in existence possess such a tremendous assemblage of prominent Hall of Famers from the very origin of that institution.

Includes a full LOA from PSA/DNA.

OUTSTANDING MULTI-SIGNED HOFER BASEBALL INCL. SEVEN INAUGURAL HOF INDUCTEES; RUTH, WAGNER, JOHNSON, MACK, SPEAKER, SISLER AND COLLINS
