This is the actual bronze medal won by Timothy Austin "The Cincinnati Kid" at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. Austin was a standout amateur boxer, recording a lifetime log of 113-9 that included Golden Gloves Flyweight Championships in 1990 and 1991, U.S. Amateur Flyweight Champion in 1991 and then capped by his bronze medal in Barcelona. As a pro he held the IBF Bantamweight crown from 1997-2003, successfully defending his title 10 times.The 23/4-inch bronze medal is in fine condition and problem free, as is the attached multi-color ribbon. Austin signed the ribbon in gold Sharpie, adding the date and "Bronze Medal" on the other side. Included in the lot are four 3-by-5-inch or smaller color photographs of Austin; one shows him with 1992 Olympics teammate and gold medal winner Oscar De La Hoya and three of the four show Austin displaying his medal and ribbon.
