Here's a NCAA Championship watch from one of the members of the vaunted 'Fab Five," the starting lineup of the 1948 Kentucky Wildcats that pulled off that curious double play of winning the NCAA crown and sending all five players - and Coach Adolph Rupp, too - off to the London Olympics to pick up a gold medal as well. Ralph Beard, Alex Groza, Wallace Jones, Cliff Barker and Kenny Rollins made up the Fab Five, and this is Rollins' watch from the 1948 NCAA Tournament that was the team's culmination of a sparkling 39-3 season. The back of the Bulova watch face says "NCAA Basketball 1948 Winner"; the front clasp says 1948 around a basketball logo, with NCAA Basketball Champions and K. Rollins. This is only the watch face and clasp; the strap is missing. Watch appears to be in excellent condition, revealing some rusting or corrosion only on the narrow bars that would hold the strap.
