Size 11 1/2 Balfour ring has a diamond face designed to represent a football; San Francisco and world Champions appears at top and bottom, with 19 and 81 on each side. The 10K ring was presented to Guy Benjamin, Joe Montana's backup during that historic season. One side of the ring has a Golden Gate Bridge and football logo atop Super Bowl XVI and the 26-21 score; the other has Benjamin, the 49ers helmet and "49ers." Presented in an attractive 4 1/2-by-3-inch gold box with red-felt interior and "49ers Family" on the inside of the box top. The outside top of the box is also red felt, with a gold 3-by-2-inch nameplate an engraving of the 49ers helmet and the words "San Francisco 49ers, World Football Champions, 1981." Ring and presentation box are essentially in as-issued and problem-free condition.
