The historic 2008 All-Star Game held at Yankee Stadium produced a boatload of historic moments and related memorabilia, and Major League Baseball understood the significance of the moment and linked up with the Baseball Hall of Fame to create a real stunner for autograph collectors. The 11-by-15-inch All-Star Game Hall of Fame Celebration Invitation included specially rule lines on the bottom half for autographs, 52 spaces in all. Ozzie's invitation boasts 48 mostly blue Sharpie 8/10 to 9/10 signatures of Hall of Famers, making that particular All-Star Game - as Yankee Stadium witnessed its final games after 85 seasons - as a more fruitful source of nailing down HOF autographs than even the annual induction ceremonies in Cooperstown. the lineup, as you might imagine, is awe-inspiring: Aaron, Banks, Berra, Killebrew, Kaline, Jackson, Ripken, Cepeda, Carter, Frank Robinson, Brooks Robinson, Gibson, Gwynn, Billy Williams, Boggs, Mazeroski, Ford, Yount, Kiner, Perez, Murray, Marichal, Brock, Carlton, Brett, Weaver and Lasorda, et al. Oh, yeah, Ozzie signed it, too. The piece boasts matting and framing that equally as impressive as the subject matter. While the invitation has red-and-blue graphic highlight elements, the matting and framing is also red and blue, encased in a stunning 3-inch polished silver metal frame decorative engraving at the edges. Comes with the Official Major League Baseball hologram attached; overall piece is certainly Nr-Mt and problem free and boasts overall dimensions of 19 1/2-by-23 1/2 inches.

LOA from Ozzie Smith.
