One of the greatest hitting right handed batters since Joe DiMaggio, Puckett put up .318 AVG, .360 OBP, and .477 SLG numbers during his 12 year career with the Minnesota Twins. He was an All Star 10 of 12 years and won 6 Gold Gloves. 5 times he topped 200 hits, leading the American League 4 of those. Uncorrectable vision problems resulted in an early retirement from baseball at age 36. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2001.
