The one and only perfect GEM MINT PSA 10. A Detroit fan favorite for 14 of the 18 years of his career, Horton had his best season during the Championship year of 1968. He finished second in the AL to Frank Howard in homers, slugging and total bases. All this in a year when numbers were down. In fact, his .285 average was good enough for 4th in the league. For a man who carried a big bat, Horton's defensive play in Game 5 of the 1968 World Series might be the most important event of his career. With the Cardinals leading the Series 3-1 and Game 5 3-2, Willie threw out the speedy Lou Brock at the plate to keep the game close. Detroit came back and won Game 5 along with the next 2 to capture the World Championship.
