Bats used by Roberto Clemente are immediately identifiable. Their flared handles and impressive size make them as distinctive as the man himself. This hefty (36", 37.8 oz.) Louisville Slugger signature model G105 bat stands with the game's most imposing weapons swung by the likes of Ruth, Foxx, Horsnby and Cobb. Clemente’s lean physique belied incredible strength that allowed him to wield such a large bat with seeming ease, sending line drives to the far reaches of Forbes Field and other National League Parks. This bat features ideal usage characteristics, yet remains uncracked and retaining superb display quality. His number “21” is written on the knob in faded black marker, and the hitting surface of the barrel exhibits heavy ball marks, cleat marks and rack marks. Light pine tar is also visible on the upper handle. This classic Clemente gamer is ideal in all respects, validated by the grade of 8.5 it has received from John Taube of PSA/DNA. Includes LOAs from PSA/DNA (Graded GU8.5).
