In the ABA’s final year of existence Dr. J led the 1976 New York Nets to a 55-29 record and their second ABA championship after handling the Denver Nuggets in six games in the ABA Finals. Dr. J, who averaged over 29 points for the season, was again the catalyst, winning his second league MVP award as well as being named SPORT Magazine’s ABA Championship Series MVP. For the latter, Erving received this 14” by 17” framed presentation piece featuring a color image (slightly faded) of Erving matted with a printed inset title card. The piece is completely original, as received by Dr. J in 1976 with the exception of missing the easily replaceable glass.
Includes a signed LOA from Julius Erving.
