Four 6" by 4 1/2" original photos show Red Auerbach on the bench in his earliest seasons as a professional coach. Sharply detailed images, shot ca. 1946-47 capture a youthful and demonstrative Auerbach in action at the end of the bench aside uniformed Capitols players. Photos show minor surface crazing, otherwise NM. Glare is evident on the right edges of the photos in the provided image of them and should not be misconstrued as a condition fault. Includes a letter of provenance from the Auerbach estate.
