Official American League(Ban Johnson) baseball used to record the final out in Game 6 of the 1909 World Series played in Detroit, Michigan. Ball was kept by Detroit Tiger 3rd baseman George Moriarty, who tagged out Pittsburgh Pirate base runner Owen Wilson to end the game and the series. Ball is inscribed across the Sweet spot and adjoining panels:

"LAST BALL IN PLAY - DETROIT VS PITTSBURG

SIXTH GAME WORLD SERIES 1909

WILSON TAGGED OUT STEALING

ENDING GAME SCORE DETROIT 5 PITTSBURG 4"

A small "OCT. 14" is written vertical to the rest on the right side panel.

On the panel below is written "PROPERTY OF GEO. MORIARTY"

Ball displays considerable wear but all the writing is still readable.

Moriarty played 13 years in the majors and was the Detroit Tiger 3rd baseman from 1909 through 1915. He passed away in 1964.

Incredible game used baseball from the only time Hall of Fame Greats Honus Wagner and Ty Cobb squared off against each other in the World Series bolstered by the impeccable player provenance written on the ball.
