Extremely rare #501 Chief Bender from the 1911 T5 Pinkerton cabinet series. Cards from this issue are extremely hard to come by. Very strong photo image of the Philadelphia Athletics Hall of Fame hurler. Strong corners and very clean front. In fact, from the front card appears EX+/EX-MT. The reason for the low rating can be found on the back at the top. Here there is an approximately 3" by 3" area of vintage dark glue residue. This is really one fine card. Despite the noted flaw it still is the finest graded either by SGC or PSA.
