Beginning in 1975, Brett batted over .300 on eleven separate occasions, including league-leading totals of .333 in 1976, .390 in 1980, and .329 in 1990. Brett retired in 1993 with a .305 average, 3,154 hits, 317 home runs and 1,595 RBI. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999 in his first year of eligibility. Presented here is a game used home jersey from his 3000th hit season of 1992. Inside the collar of the jersey is the "Intera" label and on the left front tail is the "Russell Athletic" label with the size "44". Across the front of the jersey is the "Royals" name in script letters and the number "5". The back of the jersey contains the name "Brett" and all letters and numbers are made of blue tackle twill. The left sleeve contains the Royals patch and the right sleeve has the initials "JRB", also on this patch is the black embroidered letter "H" commemorating the death of Brett's father. The jersey exhibits excellent game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The jersey is signed in blue sharpie with the inscriptions "1992 3000th hit 9-30". LOA from Grey Flannel.
