1966 National League Gold Glove Award given to hard throwing Hall of Fame St. Louis Cardinal right handed pitcher Bob Gibson. During his playing career, the Hall of Fame pitcher would be one of the most dominating players of his era. 1966 would be the 2nd of 9 straight Gold Glove Awards Gibson would win for his fielding between 1965 and 1973. Plaque on front reads "P - Bob Gibson - 2nd Award, 19 The Sporting News 66, National League All-Star Fielding Team". Gold colored Rawlings glove with "Major League All-Star Fielding Team" stamped in pocket. Gold baseball on pedestal at right. Large baseball field plaque on wood base at back which reads "Rawlings Gold Glove Award. 6 1/2" by 16" by 14 7/8" award is in very good condition.
