Dating from Pete Rose's first season in Philadelphia, this H&B signature model U1 bat displays heavy use including ball marks, deep embedded stitch marks and light pine tar residue on the handle. Rose has inscribed the bat "Pete Rose #4256" in blue sharpie (10/10). Factory records document only one shipment of this particular model (matching the offered bat's specifications) to Rose during his entire career, with that order having been shipped to Rose on July 2, 1979. Rose's first year in Philly saw him bat .331 and amass over 200 hits for the tenth and final time in his career. This is an outstanding Rose gamer dating from one of his finest and most productive seasons. Length: 35 inches. Weight: 32 ounces.
