Outstanding autographed vintage photo of Red Grange, "The Galloping Ghost", a charter member of both the Collegiate and Professional Football Halls of Fame. Very strong 9/10 vintage black ink "Sincerely to my friends "Red" Grange'" is perfectly placed on the light background to his right. Crystal clear vintage photograph shows Grange holding his #77 jersey. Photo has been secured in a vintage 13" by 15" matte with period titling at the bottom "'Red' Grange The Galloping Ghost of Illinois 1926". The white matte has soiled somewhat over the years. The photo is held in place with vintage, yellowed scotch tape on the back. If desired, it would be very easy to have the photo removed and re-framed. With regard to its condition and overall aesthetic quality, this is unquestionably among the finest signed Red Grange photos extant. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA
