Interesting 7" by 17 1/2" "World's Champion Yankees" thick cardboard sign autographed by 24, a combination of Yankee players, and others. Included are: Dickey, DiMaggio, Gehrig, Gordon, Hoag, Knickerbocker, McCarthy, Murphy(2), Pearson, Rolfe, Ruffing(2), Selkirk, Harridge, Cronin, Combs, Boxer Jimmy Braddock, Schreiber, Painter, Gould, Younger, Sullivan, Jim O'Dee Gomez. Beautiful vintage black ink signatures are of 8-9/10 overall quality. On each side of the piece famed sports cartoonist Grant Powers has drawn two figures, at the right a smiling Yankee pitcher and on the left a sweating Yankee catcher. Dickey has signed below the catcher with Ruffing and Knickerbocker signing along the arms of the pitcher. Back is relatively clean with no writing. The top center has a small "Oct. 9, 1938". The sign has corner wear all round plus several pin holes at edges. One light crease at center with a heavier one diagonally across the right lower corner. Piece still displays very well and will look great when framed. Includes full LOA from PSA/DNA.
