Nicknamed "The Arkansas Hummingbird," Lon Warneke evenly split his 15-year career pitching for both the Cubs and Cardinals. After concluding his playing career, Warneke was an umpire in the minor leagues (1946-1948) and the National League (1949-1955). He later became a judge in his hometown of Mount Ida, Arkansas. Warneke is featured on this 16-1/4" tall by 18" wide point of purchase die-cut cardboard standee produced by Red Man Tobacco. This standee has been mounted to a die-cut matte board for framing with the front showing substantial handling wear and areas of water damage. Shows evidence of moderate professional restoration. Apparent GD condition overall.
