The 11" x 19-1/2" visible portion of this matted and framed advertisement shows a smiling Mel Ott polishing his shotgun and promoting the "Better Tobacco for a Smoker's Merry Christmas." The Giants Hall of Fame power-hitter-turned-manager spent his entire career in the shadow of Madison Avenue, which thoughtfully utilized his celebrity to increase product recognition. The visible surface area shows no significant structural faults and appears to be in original NM condition but for a small surface crease at upper left corner. Matted and framed to 16-1/2" x 25-1/2" total dimensions.
