NM-MT PSA 8 #364 Clyde Sukeforth from the very difficult 1952 Topps High Number Series. Sukeforth had a major part in some of the most famous moments in Brooklyn Dodger history. He was the one who scouted and then signed Jackie Robinson while with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He was also the Dodger manager in Jackie Robinson's first game, stepping in for the suspended Leo Durocher. He was also in the Dodger bull pen during the famous final 1951 play-off game and recommended Ralph Branca over Carl Erskine to come in an face Thomson. He was fired by the Dodgers after the 1951 season and joined his friend Branch Rickey with the Pirates. Nice centering with outstanding color and image. Only 5 cards have been graded higher by PSA.
