The Original Six era of the National Hockey League (NHL) began in 1942 with the demise of the Brooklyn Americans, reducing the NHL to six teams. The NHL, comprising the Boston Bruins, Chicago Black Hawks, Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers and Toronto Maple Leafs, remained stable for a quarter century. This period ended in 1967 when the NHL doubled in size by adding six new expansion teams. The offered 16" x 20" photographic display, featuring the uniforms of the most famous players ever to skate for the "Original Six", has been autographed by each of those players. Silver sharpie signatures include: Gordie Howe (Detroit Red Wings), Bobby Orr (Boston Bruins), Bobby Hull (Chicago Blackhawks), Ed Giacomin (New York Rangers), Jean Beliveau (Montreal Canadiens) and Frank Mahovlich (Toronto Maple Leafs). The limited edition piece is numbered "56/334" and features NHL and LOJO Exclusive holograms. It was issued by the Highland Mint and comes with their COA. Framed to overall dimensions of 28" x 24". Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
