Kahn's, maker of the "Wiener the World Awaited", was the hobby's most prolific producer of regional card sets from 1955 to 1969. This astounding complete set from 1965 represents their most ambitious series as it featured 45 different ballplayers from the Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Milwaukee clubs. The borderless cards measure 3" by 3-1/2" and, naturally, they are highly susceptible to wear from even the slightest handling. The cumulative excellence of the set presented here is validated by an extraordinary 8.69 GPA, which merits "#2 Current Finest" and "#2 All-Time Finest" placement on the PSA Set Registry. The majority of the cards are extremely “low pop” condition examples, and many boast "none graded higher" status. Nearly half of the PSA GEM MT 10 specimens are singular "1 of 1" examples, ranking as the finest of their types ever evaluated by PSA. Furthermore, every card but one has been designated PSA NM-MT 8 or higher, with just seventeen items residing at that NM-MT level. The remaining, huge majority of the set (64%) rates PSA MINT 9 or finer. Includes: Graded PSA GEM MT 10: 12 cards w/Bolling, Clendenon, Coleman, Ellis, Howser, Maloney, Maye, Mazeroski, McDowell, Nuxhall, O'Toole and Tiant; PSA MINT 9: 17 cards w/Alvis, Cardenas, Carty, Cloninger, Davalillo, Edwards, Harper, Lemaster, Lynch, McBean, Pagliaroni, Robinson, Terry, Tsitouris, Veale, Virdon and Wagner; PSA NM-MT 8: 15 cards w/Aaron, Azcue, Bailey, Friend, Hinton, Jay, Johnson, Kralick, McCool, Menke, Oliver, Pinson, Rose, Stargell and Torre; PSA NM 7: 1 card McMahon.
