Beautiful sterling silver commemorative plate presented to Brooklyn Dodger Great Gil Hodges by his Dodger teammates on Gil Hodges Honor Night, July 17, 1957. Large, 14 3/4" wide by 1 3/8" tall at the edge plate has the engraved facsimile autographs of 34 teammates, coaches, team officials and manager Walt Alston on the front. At the center is engraved "To Gil Hodges From His Teammates July 19, 1957" Front is pretty clean with the back having tarnish. Included is copy of nice photo showing Gil Hodges receiving the plate, standing between teammates Pee Wee Reese and Carl Erskine(holding plate).
