In 1957 Casey Stengel was in Arizona doing a publicity tour for the El Paso Natural Gas Company. While in Ehrenberg, he stopped and signed a number of items for local youngsters. The offered pair of signed items both come from the person who had originally received them back in 1957. An original 8" by 10" black & white photo of Casey with the kids, actually holding the offered child's bat, is also included.

1) Casey Stengel single signed baseball. Unstamped baseball with "Casey Stengel N. Y. Yankees Nov. 15, 1957" written on a side panel in blue ink. Ball has seen some use with some soiling and even discoloration but the blue ink writing still stands out with the signature being 8/10.

2) 25 1/2" long child's baseball bat (unable to read markings) signed on the barrel by Casey Stengel. Nice blue ink 2 34" signature rates about a 6-7/10.

Letter from consigner and LOA from PSA/DNA.
