Beautiful condition player contract signed in 1942 by Hall of Famer Stan Musial for his first full season with the St. Louis Cardinals. Contract calls for $400 a month with a hike to $600 if Stan was still with the team after May 15, 1942. Musial stuck around for the next 21 years to become one of the Greatest Hitters in National League history. The four-page contract is signed both by Musial and Hall of Famer Branch Rickey, the Cardinal’s Vice-President at the time, in bold black ink. The pair of signatures would rate a 9-10/10. The contract is incredible, being virtually crease free condition with only a v-shaped outline of foxing (from being in a envelope for many years) on a blank back panel. The piece represents a very significant document from St. Louis Cardinal and American Baseball History. LOA from PSA/DNA.
