Independence Day in our Nation's capital in 1928 brought together that season's eventual World Champs, the New York Yankees, with the Washington Senators at Griffith Stadium to play a doubleheader. During the course of that days games, which the teams would split, the Bambino and the Iron Horse applied their autographs to this clean OAL (Barnard) ball. The Babe's lengthy side panel inscription rates 8/10 and reads "To Joseph Rebentisch, Washington D.C., From 'Babe' Ruth." Gehrig simply signed his name in a lighter but still entirely legible ink (3/10). The date "7/4/28" is penned below Gehrig's signature in an unknown hand. Attractive Ruth/Gehrig combo from the heyday of "Murderer's Row." LOA from PSA/DNA.
