The1927 World Series saw the New York Yankees sweep the Pittsburgh Pirates in four games straight. This was the first time ever a National League team had been swept by an American League team. The Yankees of 1927 were a fearsome group led by Hall of Famers Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Tony Lazzeri, Earl Combs, Waite Hoyt, and Herb Pennock. Unscored program has been folded long ago right down the center but the insides are very clean and a joy to view. Photos of all players on both teams, owners, managers, coaches, plus loads of period ads. Decent lesser condition program has most of front and all of back cover detached with a 4" tear to left center side. Center page is also detached. Back has 3 1/2" tear at bottom center with wear along fold. Still, a great piece of World Series history at an affordable price.
