Uncracked Babe Ruth bat, probably originating from his most productive years with the Yankees during the 1920's. Hillerich & Bradsby Co. 125 Babe Ruth Signature Model Standard Finish Professional Grade Ash game used bat from the 1921-31 labeling period. Bat weighs 41.6 ounces and is 34.5 inches in length. Uncracked bat shows heavy use with surface marks, including cleat and stitch marks. Mears further writes "Bat is 1/2 to 1 1/2 inch shorter than bats Ruth normally used, but the weight and markings are correct. Ruth stated in his book that he sometimes used shorter bats. Has a taped paper that reads, "Bat given to Henry A Waxman by his old school chum George H. Ruth 1923," - taped to bat at a later date. Has factory lathe marks on the knob." MEARS Grade A5.5.
