This original wire photo of Buck Weaver & Swede Risberg (Chicago Black Sox) is from the 1920's, probably taken at the time of the "Black Sox" trial after the 1920 season. The photo measures about 5-1/2” by 7” with the cardboard mount being larger. The photo has great contrast and clarity grading in Excellent condition overall. On the mount are several printer notations in pencil. The photo was used and stamped in 1927, but the caption reads in part that “....this photo was made when they were teammates”. A newspaper clipping of the photo is attached to the back of the cardboard mount. It is stamped Jan 5, 1927.
