Circa 1916-18 Hall of Famer Harry Hooper's game used Boston Red Sox Road Jersey. Incredibly rare jersey from a Hall of Fame teammate of Babe Ruth at the beginnings of his legendary career with the Red Sox. This road jersey design was used only between 1916 and 1918. "The Horace Partridge Company, MFRS' of Athletics Goods, Boston Mass" tag in collar along with a 15/16" by 4" Hooper" tag in red/pink thread. Thick wool jersey has heavy wear around the neck, especially tin the front. Small places on the "D" of RED and "S" & "O" of SOX on the chest are missing. One button is missing with another pair having been replaced. There is one stain on the bottom right sleeve. Overall the jersey displays beautifully. Hooper was a key member of the 1912, 1915, 1916, and 1918 World Champion Boston Red Sox and was elected to the Hall of Fall in 1971.
Originating with the jersey is a pair of A. G. Spalding & Bros. pants. Pants exhibit extremely heavy wear with numerous holes, especially at the left knee which has been patched from the inside.
