8 3/4" by 26 1/4" panorama of the 1916 Chicago White Sox taken 8/9/16. Crystal clear photo pictures the White Sox in full uniform kneeling before a huge crowd of fans in front of the grandstand. Caption reads" Delegates to the Fourteenth Annual Convention of the national Rural Letter Carriers Association enjoying the National game at the "White Sox" Baseball Park, Chicago, ILL, Wednesday, August Ninth, Nineteen Hundred and Sixteen". Vintage original matting has an image of Comiskey park with the words "Home of the White Sox" at the lower left corner and a picture of the Montgomery Ward Building at the lower right labeled "The Home of Montgomery Ward and Co. Chicago". Beautiful problem free image with vintage original matting and old frame(Possibly original, not sure for certain). Original glass has been removed and replaced with Plexiglas for safety during shipping. Framed size is 14 1/2" by 31 1/2". Great old display piece ready for the wall.
