This unofficial American Association ball features the signature of the player who won 511 major league games and has his achievement reprised annually when the Cy Young Awards are given to the season's best pitchers. Young's thick black ink signature is as strong as any we've seen on a baseball, projecting at 10/10 in size and strength. The ball has been completely shellacked with an additional coating applied to the signed panel having toned it to a brownish hue that is darker than the rest of the ball. Young passed away in 1955, after becoming one of the Baseball Hall of Fame's inaugural inductees in 1939. LOA from PSA/DNA.
