Eye appealing medium to lesser condition lot of 10 cards from the very popular 1887-90 Old Judge tobacco issue. Players are: Buffington, C. F., Phila. - Crease free VG shape with good image and a couple of smaller stains on back; Carpenter, 3d B., Cincinnati - Super clean VG condition with dark good image. One small crease across lower right corner otherwise could be EX+; Conway, P., Boston - Crease free VG condition with good image. White glue residue covers about 70% of the back; Darnbrough, P. Denvers - EX+ or better condition with light pink tint image. Name not visible. For identification we are going by pencil notation on the otherwise clean back. "Darnbrough, P. Denvers (P D Orem) I have a tilted one"; Gilks, P., Cleveland's - Vg condition with strong image over most of the card that lightens up a little toward the head. Light crease visible on back that does not come thru to front. Small ding at lower right corner. Without these problems card would appear EX-MT or better; Halliday, C. F. Des Moines - Card has been RE-BACKED. Good image that lightens near face. Clean with more rounding of the corners than the rest. Front has started to separate on both sides and top; Hogan, C. F. Cleveland's - Vg shape with good image. Name is light. Pair of clean pin holes at top with "C" in ink on an otherwise relatively clean back; Danny Richardson 2d B, N. Y.'s - VG+ condition with light image. Small ding at lower right corner. Small 1/8 inch product residue at middle right left. Card was once owned by legendary collector Charles Barker as it carries his stamp on the back as well as his trademark player statistics written in pencil; Titcomb, P. N. Y. - Sharp condition corners, very clean front. Back super clean aside from one small1/4" area on side. Image is super sharp EXCEPT for the fact that his head is blurred out; Townsend, C., Athletics - Crease free VG- shape with good picture. Clean front with wear on the corners. One smaller stain on back as well as the initials "J. D." written in pencil. Overall decent collection of players from this very popular series.
