Incredibly rare only 19th Century gum/candy issue featuring New York Giant Hall of Fame pitcher Mickey Welch. Welch would win 311 games over his 13 year career. The offered example has a clear image of the line drawing full body pitching pose of Welch with all printing easily visible. Main reason for grade is a 1/4" by 3/8" piece missing from the lower left corner. The front is very clean with the back has some flaking issues. Most collectors have never seen an example in person let alone a Hall of Famer. Would be an outstanding type card.
