HE IS GENERALLY CREDITED AS THE ONE WHO TAUGHT HIS YOUNGER BROTHER HONUS HOW TO PLAY BASEBALL. SOME EVEN GO SO FAR AS TO SAY THAT HE WAS THE ONE WHO HELPED GET HONUS HIS FIRST PROFESSIONAL CONTRACT. HE PASSED AWAY IN 1928.
June 9, 1917 bank check signed by the legendary Pirate Hall of Fame shortstop Honus Wagner. Beautiful, vintage blue ink "John H. Wagner" autograph adorns the bottom right area of the check. Neat, center bank cancellation is not even close to the signature. Some tape residue and stain at the left side of the check. The check is in very nice shape aside from the tape at the side. Includes full LOA from PSA/DNA.
